Kuari Pass Trekking, Trekking in HimalayasPopularly known as Lord Curzon”s Trail,  Kuari pass trek is a very popular trek in the Grahwal Himalayas.  In 1905 Lord Curzon reached Kuari pass from Ghat, further going down to Joshimath. .As you climb on the Curzon Trail , it takes you through lush green fields, remote villages and virgin forests, providing an enchanting view of the imposing peaks of Nanda Devi , Kamet ,Chaukhamba, Dronagiri and Hathi-Ghodi Parvat..

Day 0 : Delhi
 Arrive in Delhi : Check into your choice of hotel.

Day 1 : Delhi – Overnight Train
Take the overnight Ranikhet Express train from Old Delhi railway station to Kathgodam (Train No. 5013, Departure-22:40 hrs IST)

Day 2 : Kathgodam- Ranikhet (By car 90 kms, 3 hrs)
Arrive at Kathgodam 06:30 hrs. Received by an escort and transferred to waiting vehicle after brief rest. Drive to Ranikhet . Check in to an eco lodge.

Day 3 : Ranikhet - Ghat  (220 Kms, 7-8 hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to reach Ghat (1331 mt) via Dwarahat, Gairsain, Karanprayag. Arrive  Ghat and overnight stay in tents.

Day 4 : Ghat - Ramni  (10 kms 4 hrs)
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Ramni (1982 Mt). We walk along side the Nandakini river. We stop over for lunch at Sutol village  overlooking the river. The trek is fairly even up to Sutol, after which the incline starts right upto Ramni village. Camp at the camping site in the village, overnight stay in tents.

Day 5 : Ramni - Sem Kharak – Jhinjipani (13 kms 5 hrs)
Todays trek first goes steep up through a dense forest upto sem Kharak, and then descends right upto jhinjipani (2015 Mt) Overnight stay in the village rest house.

Day 6 : Jhinjipani - Panairani : 12 kms, 4-5 hrs)
Morning after breakfast start trekking towards  Panairani (2043 Mt), the trek is up and down and Panirani is well marked by the seasonal huts made by local villages for the summer season. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 7 : Panarani – Dhakwani-Kuari Pass (17 kms 5-6 hrs)
Morning after breakfast start descending to the river then  climb to Dhakwani(2486 Mt). Post Dhakwani we climb further up above the tree line  to reach Kuari pass (4268 Mt). From the Pass you can have a breathtaking view of Nanda Devi,Dronagiri Chaukhmba and other numerous peaks of Garhwal Himalaya. Overnight stay in tents on the other side of the pass.

Day 8 : Kuari Pass
Today is the day to just relax and enjoy the beauty of magnificent Himalayan peaks right in front.

Day 9 : Kuari Pass – Tali – Grason Top (16 kms, 4 hrs)

Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Talii  crossing through the meadows and pine forest. We trek further down to Grason Top and set the camp for over night stay.

Day 10 : Garson Top - Auli – Joshimath- Rudraprayag.
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Auli .(12 kms/4 hrs to reach Auli (2519 Mt). En route cross the famous bugyals (meadows) of Gurson and will also get views of the route leading to the famous Nanda Devi sanctuary, along the Rishi Ganga. Auli has one of the longest ski slopes and one can also have a panoramic view of the Nanda Devi group of peaks. Further drive to Joshimath and further on to  Karanprayag and Rudraprayag.Overnight stay in Hotel / Tourist Banglow.

Day 11 : Rudraprayag – Haridwar - Delhi
Morning after breakfast start journey for Haridwar. Reach Hardwar, and board the Shatabdi express from haridwar rly station, reaching Delhi by 10.45 pm, check into a hotel at Delhi.
